The rational avoids what harms the soul, because they are foreign to him and separate him from immortality. Antonios the Great goes further and tells us that we are reasonable, only when we are pleasing to God: "People are called rational abusers. A truly rational person has only one concern, to obey and be pleasing to God, the Lord of all, and in this alone to exercise his soul, how to please God, thanking Him for His great and excellent providence and the government of the whole world, whatever his place in life.
The rational man looking at himself, he tries what he needs and is interested in, which are matters of the soul and beneficial and which are foreign to the soul.

Those who learned are not logical, simply, the words and books of the ancient sages, but those who have the rational soul and can distinguish what is good and what is bad and avoid the wicked and harmful to the soul, and the goods and soul benefits they acquire willingly by study and apply them with much thanks to God. They alone must be called truly sensible people.
We use our logic, to get something with less effort, with the least possible contribution to society. Because this recognition and faith in God is the salvation and perfection of the soul. Temperance, impatience, wisdom, the encampment, Patience and similar great and virtuous powers have been given to us by God and are opposite and resist and help us in their respective evils. Everything is done right and as it should be in our interest, so that our virtues may shine and be crowned by God.
Those who are pious and have a theophilic mind participate in a virtuous life (thinking, as God pleases). Because the common mind is secular (thinks according to the will of man) and changeable, which provides meanings of good and evil, since it is influenced by natural things and flows towards matter ".
"The soul that separates itself from God is punished with pride, greed, anger, οδυρμό, envy, greed, pleasure, sloth, regret, cowardice, disease, hatred, category, weakness, error, ignorance, scam, forgetfulness of God. Whoever respects God with all his heart and faith, providence is received instead of God dominating the anger and desire that is the cause of all evil ”.

Biography
Antonios the Great was born in 251 A.D. in Upper Egypt by wealthy and virtuous parents, whom he lost at a young age. But he focuses on the secret theory of the desert monks and the care of his little sister. He quickly decides to leave the worldly and leaves for the desert, after first settling his younger sister and distributing the large paternal estate to the poor of his area.
In the desert he trained his soul and tamed his passions, reaching the heights of exercise so that the saint's soul could leave his body while he was still alive.. It becomes the model of the ascetics. Many of them came to the desert to listen to him and consult him. He surrendered his blessed soul to the rewarding God of old age 105 years.
Although, as Athanasios the Great says, one of the last wishes of Saint Anthony was to keep the place of his burial hidden, the monks who were consecrated near him said that they possessed his sacred relic, which during the reign of Justinian (561 A.D.), was deposited in the Church of St. John the Baptist in Alexandria and from there later, the 635 A.D., transferred to Istanbul (SOURCE ORTHODOX COOPERATIVE).
